It\’s exciting to see innovative stormwater management initiatives gather momentum among local governments. A great example of this is Bundaberg Regional Council\’s Washpool Creek Naturalisation Project, which is set to deliver an integrated public open space that balances its technical stormwater drainage function whilst also yielding significant ecological and environmental benefits.
This is the community\’s inspiring vision for a site that\’s been heavily modified and currently comprises a concrete channel at the end of its serviceable life. We very much look forward to seeing this project come to fruition.
